Featured Artist * Xavier Choice

Author-Award Winning Blogger FancyJLondon©2016 (All Right Reserved) This feature interview represents the recording artist/rapper-singer Xavier Choice.

Xavier Choice was born in Fort Worth, and raised in Houston Texas. Choice would frequently visit Fort Worth where his family resides. He started writing at the young age of 10 years old under his first emcee name, X-Man. His older brother, Jarian greatly inspired him by giving him a taste of rap when he would record himself rapping over Tupac beats. Choice was instantly hooked.

Interview by FancyJ London
FancyJ: “What or who inspired you to come out into the music world?”

Choice : “My older brother, Jarian, used to always spit verses over Tupac beats and I used to hear him do it all the time. I have always looked up to him, simply because he’s my older brother. But when I saw him rapping, it honestly changed my life. I knew then that, that was what I wanted to do with my life. Along with the inspiration that he provided, I was always in church. I was in the church choir, and I was always singing around the house. I was singing before I even started rapping. Most people don’t know that. I have a very musical family and it just runs in my veins.”

FancyJ: “Where do most of your lyrics come from?”

Choice : “Mostly life experiences. Every now and then, I’ll step out of the realm of reality and life experiences and get arrogant and tell everyone how I’m better than them. But, it mostly comes from being looked down upon as a teenager growing up. I was always bullied and no one thought that my music or what I was saying was anything worth listening to. I was the quintessential underdog. I hung out with my small circle of friends who were also considered “uncool” and “unpopular”. I use that as fuel to my fire to show everyone that I’m not to be looked past as just another emcee. I’m someone special.”

FancyJ: “Do you think music has the ability to influence the world for the better, or at least change the mentality of most people worldwide?”

Choice  : “Absolutely. 100%. Music, in my opinion, is the key to many solutions in life. It is one of, if not the most, influential thing in the universe. People’s moods can change in an instant depending on what song they are currently listening to. It can bring up many memories whether it is good or bad. In that same sense, it can easily inspire people to want to do better and challenge other people to do the same with them. The song, We Are The World, made many people want to do better with their lives and start giving.”

FancyJ: “If you were already at the top of billboard, had your Grammy, and star on Hollywood…what would you do first?”

Choice : “Nothing really, continue doing what I love and keep making music. Living my life to the fullest. Simple answer. But, all the accolades aren’t important to me.”

FancyJ: “Do you contribute to any charities, own a charity, or have dreams to start one?”

Choice : “I currently do not contribute to any charities but whenever I would have the funds to do so, I would have no problem giving money to those who are less fortunate.”

FancyJ: “How do you feel when you are singing in the studio, what keeps you pumped?

Choice : “Untouchable. I feel like whenever the mic is on, no one can hold a candle to me. May not be true, because it isn’t, but it’s the mentality that you have to have when being in the studio. Also, on the flipside of things, what keeps me pumped and gets me going, is knowing that it’s just me, the mic, and my words. My story that I have the pleasure of telling to the world. It’s a wonderful feeling.”

FancyJ: “What or who is your main inspiration in life?”

Choice : “The underdogs. Everybody who has been bullied in school and pushed aside by all of their peers. The ones who, instead of choosing to fight back using their fists, chose to use their minds and their drive to get back at the people who treated them wrong. Those are the people I do it for. The ones who have a story to tell and feel that they are worth more than what people say they are. The people who are unapologetic for being themselves.”

FancyJ: “Who is your biggest music influencer, why?”

Choice : “Well, my older brother, Jarian definitely gave me inspiration. But as far as influences? There are too many to count. Most recently, the person who I’ve been heavy on for the longest is J Cole. He has a style that I tend to gravitate more towards more. I love his delivery and the story that he tells. He’s unapologetic about the way he is, humble and honest. I’m the same way.”
FancyJ: “Do you play any instruments, don’t play? So, do you have a favorite?”

Choice : “I used to play trumpet back in middle school for a short time. My favorite is the saxophone. Honestly, because it’s so damn sexy! Really! Something about the sax just hits my soul right every time. It’s a really beautiful sound, and can be so powerful in conveying so many emotions.”

FancyJ: “What made you choose your stage name, or stick with your own?”

Choice : “Well my stage name is actually my last name. My full name is Xavier Choice. Before, I was Yung X. The whole yung thing is played out and I figured I wanted to be more marketable and sound more appealing to the masses. Plus, I got tired of hiding behind an alias. I felt like I could be myself more if I just used my name.”

FancyJ: “Can you explain the meaning behind the last song you produced, why was this song created?”

Choice : “The last song I wrote was a song entitled, Vibe With Me. It’s unreleased. It’s a feel good song that makes you want to just nod your head and chill out. That was the whole purpose of making the song. The whole point was to make people feel good and enjoy the feel good hip-hop.”

FancyJ: “If you had to asses your own music, what three things would you say you admire about it, and what three things would you critique?”

Choice : Three things that I admire about my own music would be…
1. I speak from my heart.

2. Never afraid to try anything different.

3. My words are clear and easy to decipher.

Three things that I would critique are…
1. Sometimes I have a tendency to take too deep of breaths on tracks.

2. When rapping fast I can get jumbled up and tongue-tied.

3. My singing could be a lot better at times and I could use more practice on it.
FancyJ: “Where do you see yourself in the music industry in five years?”

Choice : “Influential and inspirational to the people who have the mentality and background as I do. A leader to the uncool and unpopular kids.”

FancyJ: “What other occupation would you has chosen if you had not chosen music?”

Choice : “Working in the meat department at a grocery store. I’ve done grocery work all my life and I love customer service.”

FancyJ: “If you could be anyone in the world for one day, who would you choose, what would you do the entire day, and why would you choose that person?”

Choice : “I would choose to be any of the top hip-hop stars in the world today. J. Cole, Drake, Logic, etc.. I would just want to be in their shoes and see what it’s like to go through the day that they go through. The stresses of planning out interviews and deadlines to make and appearances. I’ve always been to attracted to the non glamorous side of the celebrity life.”

FancyJ: “How do you deal with rejection, haters, and gold diggers?”

Choice : “That’s just it, I don’t deal with it. My revenge is success. I’m going to keep doing me and if there’s anybody that has an issue with my methods or my life, they don’t have to be in my life.”
FancyJ: “What helps you remain grounded, focused, and determined with your career?”

Choice : “The people who tell me that they feel something when listening to my music. No bigger compliment can be said in the world than when someone tells me that my music spoke to them. Plus, I have a real passion for this. I’m a very humble person and I know that people don’t have to listen to me if they don’t want to. So I always thank the ones that truly love my music and want to know what I have to say.”

Featured Artist PÁLL ÓSKAR

FancyJ London ©2016 All Rights Reserved * This feature bio and all included contents, are the sole property of Páll Óskar aka Paul Oscar.

His name is Páll Óskar Pop Singer, Performer, Actor, with an amazing story that started in Reykjavík, Iceland and Ended up in New York City, now he has taken the world by storm leaving his mark as a pop star extraordinaire!
I am honored to feature such an inspiring, flamboyant, brilliant star that took his adversities and turned them into an unforgettable ballad. I am a huge fan of his work but more a fan of all he has overcome.

Paul Oscar’s family encouraged his musical talent, his parents did not get along with each other, and he was bullied by his schoolmates. Paul Oscar recalled: “My nickname was Little Palli, and Palli was chubby, nerdy, someone who never got jokes right, who was afraid of other men.” At age 13, he realized that he found men attractive, finally came out to his family at age 16.

“For the first day, there was nice talk of acceptance, though his father did raise his voice, but after a few days there was a disheartening silence. However, his mother was supportive. She said: “If Páll has the talent to fall in love, he should nurture that talent. Páll has as much a right to sit down at my table with his partner as anybody else and their partner.”

Paul Oscar rediscovered his voice at the age of 18, singing bass with the Hamrahlíð college choir for two years. In 1990 he won a talent contest for his college; later that year at the time of his graduation, he played Frank-N-Furter to great success in the college’s production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show Around the same time, he began appearing in Drag Shows at a notorious Reykjavík nightclub. After the club closed, he became a radio jockey on independent radio station FM 90.9 He also appeared in a film As in Heaven in 1992.

In the summer of 1993, Paul Oscar left Iceland for New York City where he met fellow Icelanders Jóhann Jóhannsson and Sigurjón Kjartansson who were then on tour with the heavy metal band HAM. Paul Oscar became their groupie and at about the same time released his first album Groove.

Paul Oscar made his debut as a solo artist and formed his own recording company, Paul Oscar Productions (P.O.P.) releasing an album of ballads entitled Palli which he personally arranged, performed and produced. It became the best selling album in Iceland of 1995. This was followed by his album Seif in 1996.

Paul Oscar was Iceland’s entrant in the annual Eurovision Song Contest in 1997. He performed the song My Final Dance, which he co-wrote, backed by four women dressed in latex playing suggestively on a sofa behind him.

Although the song only reached 20th place in a field of 25, the daring presentation attracted quite a lot of attention, especially amongst gay audiences, which made Paul Oscar from that point on known world wide.

Regarding his personal life, Paul Oscar has said: “I have a lot of work still to do. I have had three relationships that, from the outside, looked picture perfect, I suppose…But they were actually quite rotten and false, abusive to me. What I am doing now is learning to fall in love with myself.”

Featured Artist *DEV

FancyJ London ©2016 All Rights Reserved * This feature bio and all included contents, are the sole property of Devin Star Tailes aka Singer-Songwriter DEV.

Who knew that a simple girl working at Old Navy would turn out to be a sensational singer and an incredibly powerful influence to so many of us ladies? Her edgy look, sultry voice, thought provoking lyrics and love for cheetos is only the beginning of her incredible rise to fame!

Devin Star Tailes (born July 2, 1989), better known as Dev (sometimes stylized as DEV or dEV), is an American rapper, singer and songwriter. She was discovered by the record label, Indie-Pop, and The Cataracs via Myspace after her friend Shane Crislip, posted her singing to some beats. Dev’s song “Booty Bounce” was sampled in Far East Movement’s hit single “Like a G6” which reached number 1 in the US, and sold over four million downloads in the country.

In 2009 she made a cover of Amy Winehouse’ “Blonde Trick” and, after a friend posted the song into MySpace, the production team The Cataracs noticed it and contacted Dev. To Fashion Indie Magazine she said: “I decided to put up this song on MySpace. It was a “diss track” and I didn’t expect anything out of it. It was just to make me feel good like how music usually does, but Niles [of the Cataracs] came across my page and was really into my voice, they kind of got me into singing and opened up my eyes to business opportunities”. Dev dropped out of college in her first year to pursue her singing career and was then signed by the Los Angeles-based record label and management team, Indie-Pop, who also discovered The Cataracs. Six months later, Dev and The Cataracs’ song “2Nite” began to gain exposure on the radio, the television channel MtvU and the Billboard Hot Dance Airplay chart. In 2009, Dev moved to Los Angeles to produce music with the Cataracs and work directly with Indie-Pop.

In 2010, the Cataracs produced “Like a G6” with Far East Movement and decided to use a verse from Dev’s single “Booty Bounce” as the chorus. The two songs were made in the same summer, at the time where Dev and the Cataracs “were grinding it out in the studio pretty tough together,” making a couple of “simplistic random tracks. “Like a G6”, which features Far East Movement and Dev, was released in April 2010, and reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song went on to sell over four million downloads in the US. In August 2010, a music video was made for “Booty Bounce” directed by Ethan Lader, and uploaded it onto YouTube, where it has generated over sixteen million views.

In October 2010, Dev was signed to Universal Republic and her first official single, “Bass Down Low” was serviced to rhythmic radio stations in November. Dev released her debut single “Bass Down Low” in November 16, 2010. It was released digitally in select territories on December 6, 2010 and one day later in the United States. The song reached sixty one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and number two on the Heatseekers Songs chart. In Canada, the song peaked at number thirty five in its fifth week on the Canadian Hot 100 chart. However, “Bass Down Low” saw massive success in the United Kingdom, where it peaked at number ten on the UK Singles Chart. Dev also released two more promotional singles through Twitter, “Poison” and “Call Me” both covers of Bell Biv Devoe and Blondie respectively. She also featured in house music artist David Guetta’s album, Nothing But the Beat on a song called “I Just Wanna F” with Timbaland and Afrojack.

Dev had also featured on a single by Swedish singer Eric Saade, “Hotter Than Fire” which was released on November 2, 2011 in Sweden. Dev is featured on a remix of Girls’ Generation’s song “Bad Girl” by The Cataracs, featured on their Japanese remix album and Dev was also featured in Timbaland’s promotional single “Break Ya Back”.

The American version of “The Night the Sun Came Up” was released on March 26, 2012 in the United States, which include new tracks where Dev teamed up with singer Enrique Iglesias on a track called “Naked” which was produced by The Cataracs and was released as the third single of the repackaged album. It reached the first position in Mexico and the second position in the US dance chart. The second single, “In the Dark”, peaked at number 11 in the US chart, making it her most successful solo single to date.

At the 2012 Lollapalooza, Dev revealed that she was currently working on her second album; “I’m using a lot more live instrumentation for this album”, stating “I had such a great time making a very electronic-based album for the first one, but you know, I’m just moving to different things, different sounds, so we’ll see.” Her track “Bass Down Low” was featured during match intervals of Volleyball, Beach Volleyball and Basketball among others during the 2012 Summer Olympics. In 2013 Universal Republic Records announced that they were going defunct, all artists from the label moved to Republic Records.

In November 1, she has posted on her official YouTube a new song, “Kiss It” featuring Sage the Gemini produced by Hit-Boy. While “Kiss It” released December 17, 2013. A remix version of this song was released that featured Casey Veggies in place of Sage The Gemini. Dev also collaborated with singer Mia Martina for her single Danse which gained popularity in latin and dance charts throughout spring 2014.

In 2014 Dev released two EPs, Bittersweet July and the second part as a follow up to part one. She’s a radio host of the popular radio Beats 1 by Apple, founded in 2015. In 2016 Dev started promoting her second studio album which is set to be released in mid 2016 with an opening single called Lowkey.

I personally have been a fan of Dev’s since she began in 2009 and continue to listen, buy, and enjoy her music! Thank you DEV for your voice, vibe and incredible talent! It has been a real pleasure featuring you! FJL

FEATURED ACTOR *NAZO BRAVO

FancyJLondon ©2015 All Rights Reserved This blog post is a bio feature representing actor, rapper Nazo Bravo.

***********************************************************************

Nazo Bravo surprised me at first with his love and respect for his culture, a lot of people come from different parts of the world for an opportunity to live in the United States!

Most quickly forget that part of them that remained humble, grounded, and appreciative of everything they had. When I watched Nazo in his documentary, it was clear that he cared for his people, his homeland, and embraced his culture.

I continued to investigate further about this mysteriously intriguing man, I became more impressed by his extreme drive for success while remaining true to himself, and his heart for helping other’s by giving back at a toy drive located in the most recently terrorist hit community of San Bernardino, California.

He is talented, sharp dressed, kind, and well what else could you ask for in a gentleman?

Without further a due, I introduce to you Mr. Nazo Bravo…

In 2015, Nazo Bravo went on to release an Armenian American, documentary series along with an included soundtrack, generating well over a half a million streams online. Nazo’s latest single, “Put It In Reverse” featuring San Francisco Bay Area legend E-40, is currently being played in clubs across the country and has already been labeled a hit by AllHipHop.com.

Nazo is taking on the industry by officially co-signing with Real 92.3’s Big Boy, grabbing multiple music ventures and excelling in new film projects to come.

Nazo Bravo is already becoming one of the most exciting new faces to come out of California’s ocean of stars!

Thank you, to all the people who have supported me along the way!
FancyJ London I really appreciate and respect what you’re doing. It’s not an easy thing, but as artists we have to keep pushing. -Nazo

Featured Artist *Maciej Smoreda*

FancyJLondon ©2015 All Rights Reserved This blog post is a bio feature representing rapper, singer/songwriter Maciej Smoreda

FancyJ: “Hello Maciej; could you first before anything else tell me how to pronounce your name?”

Maciej: “Sure, my name is pronounced Ma-Che. It means gift from God.

FancyJ: “Your name is quite unique, what nationality did your name originate from?”

Maciej: “I was born in lodz, Poland, it is a Polish name.”

FancyJ: “That is impressive you are not American, yet your English is good?”

Maciej: “At the young age of 13, I moved from Poland to upper state NewYork not knowing any English at all, though I am proud to say I was able to pick it up quickly.”

FancyJ: “I must say I am not only intrigued by your name and your heritage, but also the video I saw of you hitting hard subjects like 9/11 with inspiring messages. Could you tell me what or whom inspired you to rap about such hard subjects, like 9/11.”

Maciej: “The 9/11 poem I wrote shortly after it happened. I was attending high school in NewYork. It was the first artistic positive message I ever wrote, at that time my hiphop was much different, mainly focusing on freestyle battling and murder rap in those days. Actually it became a huge turning point for me because I realized I could inspire people with my music.

FancyJ: “Did anyone close to you inspire you to get into music?”

Maciej: “Yes, in fact I owe it to a close friend of mine Michael Williams who does not rap, but writes poetry, I heard his 9/11 poem and was inspired to write my own version with my views. To this day I like his poem far more, and he likes mine far better…LOl! Since then he became a firefighter as well as partaking in multiple trips to Iraq and Afghanistan. I admire and respect him greatly.

FancyJ: “Wow, he sounds like an amazing person, you know what they say here in our country; “You are the company you keep.” You know how to pick friends, that is a great quality to have.” Ok, If you could pick a famous artist you have great respect for, who would it be and why?

Maciej: “Thank you for your compliments, as far as your question, It is hard to pick just one. I have always been a huge fan of Tupac and all the revolutionary talk at the end of his career same goes for Michael Jackson. That was an idol of mine since I was 5 years old. More recent artists that I have huge respect for are Hopsin, Logic, and McLemore. All very smart individuals, Independent thinkers and just aurora filled exuberant people. I can’t forget to mention Jim Morrison, that man was so ahead of his time he basically predicted “EDM” music in the 60’s, Hats off to Jim!”

FancyJ: “You really know your music, I agree those are some unforgettable people that taught us so much. So, tell me how did you choose your style of music?

Maciej: “Guess it chose me when I was watching power rangers, Lol!” I love most music, though I can not sing to save my life or play any instruments, but I enjoy writing and expressing my thoughts in a way that makes people think more and hip hop was the perfect way for me to be able to do that.”

FancyJ: “I have to say the Power Rangers comment took me by surprise? What did you mean by that?” ( For those of you reading who have no clue as to what we are talking about here is a link to explain: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_Rangers )

Maciej: “Lol, I fell in love with hip hop at the age of 7 by watching The Power Rangers Show. The Black Power Ranger “STATIC” often broke out breakdancing, I thought to myself now that is hip hop!”

FancyJ: “So, at what age did you think you become enamored with music?”

Maciej: “I would say I have been interested in music, since I was a baby. Both my grandmothers sang in church choirs and in opera. I was quite fascinated with the passion in there voice and the feedback they would receive.

FancyJ: “It is amazing how influential music can be for all ages. Have you ever taken up lessons for an instrument?”

Maciej: “Yes, music is powerful. I actually took a lesson for one day on guitar and gave up. Tried again years later and only learned the basics of smoke on the water.”

FancyJ: “I think we all fall victim to that, I too took classes on clarinet in school…hated it!

Maciej: “Lol!”

FancyJ: “Can you tell me what you hope to accomplish by spreading your message filled lyrics? Do you believe that music has the power to change the way people think or feel in a positive way?”

Maciej: “I just want to inspire people. It blows my mind that I already have inspired people in places I never been and around the world. It blows my mind.”I believe music is one of the most influential forms of art, ever. No matter what mood you are in, hearing a song with lyrics full of imagery and emotion can put you in whatever place the artists mind was in when they were writing it. It is the best form of story telling in my personal opinion. If you’re having a bad day and you put on a record like Tupac’s, it changes you automatically you instantly feel the positive vibration through your body, making you desire accomplishing something great.”

FancyJ: “I have to say I couldn’t agree more. I am sure we all have that specific singer or special album we enjoy, that pumps us up or motivates us.”

Maciej: “I am happy you agree, yes it would be a dull world without music.”

FancyJ: “Speaking of that, your lyrics are not even close to dull! Where do you draw your inspirational lyrics from?”

Maciej: “I draw my lyrics from personal experiences, as well as those close to me. One example is a song I created with Supa Russ, titled: ANSWERS. This song was one of the toughest and most emotional songs I have ever done, being that it was dedicated to our best friend that unexpectedly passed away earlier this year due to a heart attack at the young age of 26. Other songs I have written to show my point of view of world influences for myself and others that are relatable. Like the song titled: NICOTINE. I’ve been battling with nicotine addiction for over ten years, so that became my positive outlet in a negative struggle.”

FancyJ: “That is very inspiring for so many who have lost loved one’s and for those who battle addictions of all types.” I think your outlet is commendable!”

Maciej: “I have been lucky in terrible situations, so for me this goes a lot deeper.”

FancyJ: “Yes indeed you have from what you told me privately, care to share any of them?”

Maciej: “I was kicked out of high school, got in trouble, hustled a bit decided to put music on hold for while, then worked many different jobs from Walmart, Holister to running my own tree removal business. Finally up and moved to Florida in late 2011, I decided to buy an old graffiti’d school bus to move my things. My good friend and I drove it down with all my belongings and my pet snakes. The very first month in Florida, I was hit by a car going 65 mph. To my shock I didn’t have one broken bone and I was released from the hospital the next morning! I then moved my beautiful fiancé from NewYork to join me. I started to get serious about hip hop late last year when I had the pleasure of meeting BZK JOE (my producer/ also the top holding 3rd place breakdancer of Florida) we formed Affiliate’s and started making music!”

FancyJ: “You have quite an amazing story, and I am almost positive that people can relate to you. We all have a story and I am happy to share those stories with my readers. Who would you like to thank out there, for where you are today?”

Maciej: “I would like to thank my family, friends and my fiancé. Most of all my partner/producer BZK Joe who is my other half of affiliates. He pushes me all the time, couldn’t do it without him. Also, my fans from all over the world and people such as yourself FancyJ London for taking interest in my work.

FancyJ: “Thank you Maciej, it has been a pleasure getting to know you, but not wanting to get to know those snakes!” Lol!” So tell me, If you became the next rap icon, what would you do with your fame?”

Maciej: “I take it you are not a snake fan, Lol!” Well, If I became a rap icon I would build some community studios for kids to be able to make music where the resources are not available. If we can influence the youth in a positive way we can alter the future.”

FancyJ: “That sounds great, you should start a campaign on Kickstarter for that! I guarantee you would reach the masses. Ok, last question, what do you think are your music life goals?”

Maciej: “Music life goal is to make people think more. Respond not react. I think my lyrics convey that message. I want to show that anything is possible, if I couldn’t speak English at 13 years old then I can come up with complex lyrics, anyone can do it!”

FancyJ: “You are right about that, you can do just about anything if you put your mind, heart, and soul into it!

I am going to leave you with the video that inspired me to feature Maciej and want to say that my featured artists are all talented, but each have an incredible story. Everyone should be valued and appreciated from all four corners of the earth whether your famous or not! ~FancyJ London

Featured Artist~ JANANI

 FancyJLondon ©2015 All Rights Reserved
This blog post is a bio feature representing the Alternative Rock Band JANANI
JANANI is an alternative rock band from Orlando, Florida. The band was formed by Janani Vaidyanathan and Erick Campos in January of 2011. In early 2014, JANANI released their very first extended play titled, Three Step System EP. The Three Step System EP was produced by Brett Hestla, former member of Creed.

The EP spawned moderate success for the band, most notably with their hit single, “Where Was I?”. Kat Coffin of Examiner.com wrote, “Songs don’t get much catchier than ‘Where Was I.’ JANANI’s spunky vocals are full of attitude as they cascade over a steady walking blues rhythm…” and “[Janani’s] strong voice takes lyrical delivery beyond heartfelt to a more character driven place conveying toughness, anger, bitterness, passion and a host of other feelings…”.

JANANI released their hit single, Run (Pick Up The Gun), in May of 2015. Shortly after it’s release, the single won the Akademia Award for Best Alternative Rock song. ExposedVocals.com wrote, “[Run (Pick Up The Gun)’s] killer chorus latches itself in your memory after the first listen. It’s a well-crafted song that acts as a wonderful homage to the classic rock sound but also just a good piece of songwriting in itself.”

Their music has been heard on radio stations such as CKCU 93.1 FM in Ottawa, Canada, KISS 104.7 FM and Orlando’s own XL 106.7 FM. It has also been featured in DIRECTTV’s documentary, Gone Until December. JANANI’s latest single, Run (Pick Up The Gun), will be the theme song of the upcoming television series, Hit Women.

From over two-hundred competing bands, JANANI was selected to compete in the top 8 for the Hard Rock Rising Orlando competition, where they performed in front of a panel of judges including Chris Kirkpatrick of NSYNC. Of over 70 acts in the Tampa Bay Acoustic Music Festival at the Hard Rock Cafe Tampa, JANANI walked away as one of five bands selected to be a Hard Rock Energy Ambassador.

JANANI is currently number 1 on ReverbNation Alternative Orlando charts and collectively has over 36,000 fans spanning over 5 different social networks.

SHOUTOUT Straight from JANANI ~ Sending big love ❤️ to our Manager Ranelle Golden, all our fans, and of course FancyJ London, YOU ROCK!
Thank you, JANANI …..OH, by the way I am a major fan myself! ~FancyJ

Featured Artist *DJ Ross Tha Boss*

FancyJ London©2015 (All Rights Reserved) This is a blog interview representing The Producer/DJ, Ross Tha Boss.

It is my great pleasure to introduce you to DJ Ross Tha Boss! DJ Ross is a young lady with an extreme passion for beats! She mesmerizes you with her powerfully eclectic take on Electronic Dance Music. Upon speaking with her, I was instantly taken back by her creative vibe. I have never heard any club mixes quite like hers. DJ Ross mixes mother nature with drums, hard beats, and rhythmic blends that make you instantly feel as if you stepped into rainforest nightclub. Listen here to get an idea of what I mean.

Her very unique style is definitely worth listening to. I am honored to be able to share our interview with you.

FancyJ: “Hello Miss DJ, it is so nice to meet you!”
DJ Ross: “Thank you, I feel the same way about you!”

FancyJ: “Could you tell our viewers a little about yourself?”

DJ Ross: “Well, I am 22 years old and I am from Louisiana.

FancyJ: “Wow, you look younger than you are, which is great when you get to be 40, you’ll look 25! So, tell me how did you become inspired to be a DJ of all things?”

DJ Ross: “Lol, Thanks. My love for music started around my toddler years. Every time I heard a song on the radio, when I was in the car with my mom, she said I would always dance and try to sing the lyrics.”

FancyJ: “I did that a lot in my youth too, who know maybe that is what inspired me to become a singer as well?”

DJ Ross: “Maybe.”

FancyJ: “Do you own any instruments, or did you take lessons as a child?”

DJ Ross: “I got my first guitar at the age of 9 then two years later, I got my first drum set just because I wanted one and thought they were cool. Playing drums became my natural talent without taking any lessons I managed to play quite well.”

FancyJ: “Impressive, you could say you play it by ear so to speak!”

DJ Ross: “Ya, Lol!”

FancyJ: “Can you tell me how you ended up going from guitar and drums to DJ’ing turntables?”

DJ Ross: “Seven years later, I discovered my true passion in music, which became DJ’ing and I knew that This was my dream career. I discovered EDM (Electronic Dance Music) from watching youtube videos of DJ Pauly D from the Jersey Shore TV show, as I was searching for videos of Pauly, I found DJ Bl3nd which is a DJ that started out doing DJ sets in his room, dancing around with his chucky mask on and now he travels around the world to DJ for his fans. Since then, he has become my idol. Shortly after I started to pursue my career by investing in my first DJ system, it was very cheap and small. I spent all summer watching videos on how to DJ and teaching myself the basics. After I learned what I needed to know, I started to put my mixes out on soundcloud to share with my family, friends, and the world.”

FancyJ: “I must say that your dedication is admirable, most kids nowadays are not dedicated enough to stick to something and follow through.”

DJ Ross: “Thank you, I guess you have to really love what you want to do to stick to it!”

FancyJ: “What age would you say that you mastered the art of DJ’ing? Do you feel it is now getting you closer to your dreams?”

DJ Ross: “By the age of 20 I began to master my DJ’ing skills, I decided to take my talent to another level by learning how to produce my own music. When I finally completed my first full song, I decided to post it on soundcloud and I continued to keep working harder to get better. Now, I am getting the recognition I’ve been waiting for all my life. I have gained thousands of followers on my social media sites and hope to continue to gain more. I have a huge passion for music and I am always thinking of what production I would like to do next! My dreams are coming true!”

FancyJ: “Yes, they are! It was a pleasure to chat with you. Know that in me you always have a friend. I will continue to share your story and your music. I thank you for sharing with me. I wish you all the success in the world on your journey to the stars! Would you like to take a moment to send out a special message?”

DJ Ross: “Yes, Thank you FancyJ London for featuring me and listening to my music. I also want to thank every single person, whether you’re a family member, friend or a fan that has believed in me or is believing in me and my dreams. I hope you will continue to show your love and support, and I will continue to give you great music.
